20+ virtual presentations, 10+ hours of awesome content from more than 15 Australian and Vietnamese English Language Centres, NEAS Australia is ‘GOING GLOCAL’ and showcasing innovation in Quality Assurance in English Language Teaching.
Supported by grant funding from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Grant Program 2021, NEAS Australia is conducting a series of specialist workshops for business owners and teachers in English Language Centres in Vietnam in support of the following core objectives:
- Enhance further bilateral and educational links;
- Share expertise in quality assurance, online delivery, and teacher training; and
- Identify and promote new collaborative opportunities.
NEAS is excited to be showcasing best practice in quality assurance and online delivery in English language teaching. In this series presented on NEAS Online, NEAS highlights the exciting teaching and learning innovations and quality assurance activities of 14 English Language Centres who are either operating in Vietnam or interested in partnering with Vietnamese organisations.
This workshop is designed for leaders, academic managers, administrators, and decisionmakers involved in English Language Centres in Vietnam. Building on seven pre-workshop presentations released in the weeks leading up to the live workshop and panel, keynote presenters from RMIT University Vietnam, Vietnam USA Society English Centres and ACET IDP English Centre for Education and Training will present on their personal experiences with quality assurance in online learning and teaching and embedding quality in the curriculum to improve student outcomes.
The presentations include a virtual panel featuring the keynote speakers and representatives from NEAS, the Australian Embassy, the National Foreign Languages Project and the Ministry of Education and Training.

Quality Management of English Language Centres
This workshop focuses on techniques for teachers at English Language Centres in Vietnam. Extending on six pre-workshop presentations released in the four weeks leading up to the live workshop and panel, this workshop features keynote presenters from RMIT Vietnam and Cambridge Assessment English. They will present their experience on being proactive in professional development for online learning and teaching and providing quality online qualifications such as CELTA.
The keynote presentations include a virtual panel featuring the keynote speakers and representatives from NEAS, the Australian Embassy, the National Foreign Languages Project and the Ministry of Education and Training.

Online Delivery and Teacher Professional Development
This initiative is part of a six month series of professional development activities for teachers and business owners culminating in the 2020 NEAS Management Conference, 5-6 May 2022.
