Welcome to the NEAS Specialisation: School Preparation (HSP & PSP). This course introduces you to the key features of an effective School Preparation Program. It comprises three modules, featuring interviews with experts in the field, quizzes and practical activities.
Module 1 looks at the features and benefits of School Preparation programs.
Module 2 explores support practices employed by School Preparation programs.
Module 3 focuses on strategies and best practices in effective transitions to receiving institutions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- identify the features and benefits of School Preparation programs
- understand the benefits of positive education
- audit their centre’s student support strategies to identify their strengths and weaknesses
- build an action plan to improve their Centre’s student welfare, support and/or transition practices.
